Network services should make it easier to run your business, not leave your team coordinating several suppliers whenever something stops working. MCI Network Services brings Cisco and Meraki network design, installation, troubleshooting and ongoing engineering together around the systems you actually use. We work across the UK, with a particular focus on London, Kent, Sussex, Essex and Berkshire.

You may need a complete network for a new office, an experienced engineer to investigate an intermittent fault, or a second opinion before committing to a substantial refresh. The starting point is the requirement, not a preferred box or a preselected package. We help establish what needs to change, what can stay and how the work will be judged.

01

A clear requirement

Turn the business need into a practical network scope with visible dependencies.

02

A controlled delivery

Plan implementation, testing and rollback before production changes begin.

03

A supportable result

Leave useful records, ownership and escalation routes behind.

Choose the right starting point

When the problem is not yet clear, network consultancy helps turn symptoms, business plans and technical constraints into a sensible course of action. For an existing estate, an audit can establish which equipment, configurations and dependencies need attention before money is committed.

A defined requirement belongs in design. A design that has already been approved may simply need experienced installation engineers. A failing service needs focused support, not a lengthy transformation exercise. Keeping those routes separate avoids paying for an entire project when a smaller engagement would address the immediate need.

Our service scope can cover a single office, several branches, data-centre connectivity or specialist links to external organisations. Size alone does not determine complexity: a small business with critical third-party connections may need more careful routing and recovery planning than a much larger office estate.

Cisco and Meraki expertise, applied to your environment

Cisco and Meraki network services are our principal focus. That includes established infrastructure as well as new deployments. We look at the operational fit of the platform: who will administer it, which features are needed, how changes are approved and how faults will be investigated.

A cloud-managed branch estate and a Cisco data-centre fabric solve different problems. Neither should be forced into the other’s role. Where an existing firewall, wireless system or partner connection uses another vendor, we can assess the integration rather than treating wholesale replacement as the only answer. The boundaries between platforms need to be understandable and supportable.

From design to a network you can operate

A useful design explains application paths, security boundaries and failure behaviour. Installation then turns that design into working equipment, with the physical connections, configuration and management access checked against it. Acceptance testing establishes whether the resulting service meets the agreed requirements.

Handover matters just as much as installation. Your team should know where configurations are held, how access is controlled, which supplier owns each circuit and what remains outstanding. Documentation should describe the network that was actually delivered, including approved changes made during the project.

For existing networks, we can separate urgent corrective work from improvements that belong in a planned maintenance window. This makes the decision clearer: restore today’s service first, then address the underlying weakness without disguising a temporary workaround as a permanent fix.

Projects, support and ongoing management

Project work has a defined outcome, such as bringing a new site into service. Support addresses incidents and technical questions within an agreed arrangement. Ongoing management adds responsibilities such as monitoring, configuration maintenance and change coordination. Buying one does not automatically include the others.

For managed network operations, we establish device ownership, administrative access, service hours and the division of work between our engineers and your internal team. Equipment supplied as part of a managed solution is distinguished from equipment you already own. Hardware purchases and subscriptions are identified separately from engineering work, so the proposal remains understandable.

Networks with financial-market dependencies

Some networks connect much more than offices and cloud applications. Our engineers work with CME and ICE on a daily basis on behalf of clients using their market-data services. The relevant work sits on the client’s side: network connectivity, provider coordination and investigation of the paths on which the service depends.

Our financial-market network connectivity services provide a separate route for those requirements. Data entitlements, application operation and the provider’s own infrastructure remain distinct responsibilities; a network connection is not a licence to receive or redistribute market data.

Questions before commissioning network services

Can you work alongside our existing IT team?

Yes. The engagement can provide specialist Cisco or Meraki engineering while your team retains day-to-day control. We define who approves changes, who holds access and how findings are handed back, rather than leaving two teams to assume the other is responsible.

Do we need to replace our network first?

No. An assessment may identify configuration, documentation or capacity issues that can be addressed without replacing the whole estate. Where replacement is justified, the recommendation should explain the limitation, the alternatives and the operational consequences of waiting.

What determines the cost?

The scope, number of sites, platform complexity, required access, maintenance windows and amount of testing all matter. A useful quotation separates discovery, implementation and ongoing support, and identifies third-party costs rather than presenting a device count as the entire price calculation.

What should we send with an enquiry?

A short account of the problem or project, the broad platforms involved and the locations affected is enough to begin. Please do not send passwords or sensitive network diagrams through a public form. Tell us what your network needs to do, and we will establish the right next step.
