Specialist Cisco and Meraki network services across the UK

Cisco and Meraki network services for businesses that need their connectivity to work, their changes to be controlled and their support responsibilities to be clear. MCI Network Services brings specialist networking expertise to offices, branches, data centres and external provider connections across the UK.

Connect. Secure. Manage. Three straightforward aims, backed by the design decisions and engineering work needed to make them meaningful. Whether you are planning a new site, investigating an unreliable network or looking for ongoing specialist help, start with the service your business needs rather than a shopping list of equipment.

Start with the problem you need to solve

A new office needs more than switches delivered to reception. A growing business needs to understand where capacity and resilience will come under pressure. An internal IT team may need experienced network engineers for a difficult change without handing over everything it already does well.

Our network services bring together consultancy, design, installation, migration, audits and support. You can engage us for a defined piece of work or discuss an ongoing arrangement with clear boundaries.

We establish the scope before making commitments. The proposal should explain what will be delivered, what depends on another provider and how you will know the work has achieved its purpose.

Cisco and Meraki expertise, applied to your environment

Cisco networking covers the depth needed for campus switching, routing, management and specialist traffic. We work through the architecture and operating requirements rather than assume a more complex design is automatically a better one.

Meraki networking focuses on a suitable cloud-managed approach, with attention to dashboard ownership, supported capabilities and the practical needs of each site. Central management is useful when it sits within a sound design and a clear change process.

Our principal expertise is Cisco and Meraki, but we recognise that real networks can include other platforms. Where it makes sense, retained Juniper, Aruba, Palo Alto, Check Point, Fortinet or legacy equipment can be integrated through a defined, tested boundary.

Connect users, applications and locations

Wireless networks should support the people and devices using the building, not simply show an access point in every area of a drawing. We consider coverage, capacity, authentication and the supporting wired network together.

WAN and cloud services connect your locations with applications and external providers. Routing, security, resilience and supplier ownership need to remain understandable as the business adds sites or changes where its systems run.

Data centre networking brings Cisco-focused engineering to the infrastructure behind your applications. The design needs to fit the workload and remain supportable when equipment, software or business requirements change.

Financial markets and market data

Our engineers work with CME and ICE on a daily basis on behalf of clients using their market-data services. We understand the importance of getting the client-side handoff, routing and change coordination right, and of producing useful evidence when an external connection needs investigation.

Financial-market network connectivity covers the relationship between your network and those specialist services. Where multicast is part of the architecture, we can also assess how feeds reach the intended receiving systems.

This is client-side engineering experience, not an implication that CME or ICE are MCI customers or endorsers. Provider services, data entitlements and application responsibilities remain clearly distinguished from the network work we undertake.

Secure the network and keep it manageable

Network security connects access control, segmentation and security boundaries to the applications your business needs. The objective is appropriate access with clear ownership, not a promise that one product can provide complete protection.

Network operations brings the ongoing work into focus: monitoring, maintenance, engineering response and the records needed to operate the environment. A monitoring tool, a NOC service and a support agreement are related, but they are not interchangeable commitments.

We make the operating model explicit. Managing customer-owned equipment differs from supplying a managed solution that includes equipment, and both should explain service hours, change responsibilities and what happens at the end of the arrangement.

UK coverage, with a strong South East engineering base

We provide services throughout the UK, with particular focus on London, Kent, Sussex, Essex and Berkshire. Most of our engineers are based in Kent. That gives our regional work a genuine engineering base without making the website or service London-only.

Remote assistance, site visits and project delivery are planned around the requirement. Location, access, maintenance windows and the availability of relevant engineers determine the practical arrangement for each site.

A company with offices across the country should not have to guess whether it falls within our scope. Tell us where the network is and what you need; we will establish a realistic delivery model rather than imply identical attendance commitments everywhere.

Make the next network decision with a clear scope

You do not need a finished technical specification to begin a useful conversation. Explain the business change, the affected sites and what is not working or needs to improve. We can identify whether an assessment, a design or a defined support engagement is the right starting point.

Costs should reflect the actual work, including relevant preparation, implementation, testing and handover. Where licences, equipment or provider charges sit outside the engineering scope, those boundaries should be visible rather than emerge unexpectedly later.

Discuss your network requirement with MCI. Keep the first message free of passwords, private keys and confidential network files. A high-level description is enough to start; secure information-sharing arrangements can follow once the right engagement has been established.
