Meraki networking uses cloud management to help teams run suitable business networks. You still need a sound design and clear control of the accounts and devices. We help you plan, install and support Meraki around your sites and apps. The work includes the tasks your team will need to carry out after handover.

Our Cisco and Meraki network services cover new projects, inherited estates and controlled migrations. The aim is a network that is easier to understand and manage without hiding important limitations, licensing needs or dependencies behind the convenience of central administration.

01

Dashboard clarity

Structure organisations, networks and permissions around real operational ownership.

02

Consistent sites

Use repeatable standards without ignoring the differences between locations.

03

Practical operations

Keep cloud management connected to physical links, users and business services.

Make dashboard ownership a design decision

Meraki dashboard services establish how organisations, networks and admin access should be arranged. The account structure needs to reflect who owns the equipment, who operates it and how duties may change later.

Shared administration, templates and common settings can be useful across several sites. But they require clear boundaries. An action intended for one location should not unexpectedly alter another site’s service.

We review the operating model alongside the setup. Access, change approval and recovery information should be understandable to the people who will support the estate after the project team leaves.

Choose the right switching and branch arrangement

Meraki cloud switching covers the wired part of the setup, including supported Catalyst cloud-management arrangements where appropriate. The actual setup mode, hardware, software and licence needs must be checked.

Legacy Catalyst Cloud Monitoring reached end of service in March 2026. It should not be confused with current cloud-management options. Where an estate is affected, the service is a migration assessment rather than a recommendation to introduce the retired monitoring arrangement.

Branch networking combines the local site’s needs with its external connections. Applications, security boundaries and available circuits help determine whether the proposed design fits the branch rather than simply reproducing another site’s settings.

Connect wireless, access and building services

Wireless design belongs alongside the wired network, identity needs and app paths. Meraki wireless services address the relevant platform while the wider wireless section provides surveys and troubleshooting routes.

For identity-based access, Cisco Access Manager is a current option within the Meraki setup. Suitability depends on supported devices, integrations and licensing. It should not be presented as universally interchangeable with every current access-control design.

Connected building networks need clear separation between the network’s role and the systems using it. Facilities devices, sensors or other services may have their own owners, privacy considerations and operating needs.

Plan resilience and platform change honestly

Cellular connectivity can be assessed as part of a site’s wider connection strategy. Suitability depends on the location, service and app need rather than an assumption that any mobile connection is an adequate backup.

Where an organisation is considering a broader fabric approach, Meraki campus fabric needs a clear platform and operating-model assessment. Feature names are not a substitute for checking the supported design you intend to deploy.

Platform migration services focus on moving between arrangements safely. The intermediate state, setup ownership and acceptance tests matter as much as the desired final dashboard view.

Keep buying and operating responsibilities clear

Licences, equipment, engineering and ongoing support are related but distinct parts of the service. We explain which are included in the proposed engagement and which remain with you or another supplier.

An organisation that owns its equipment may need only management or specialist support. A provider-supplied solution has different commercial and exit considerations, which should be stated rather than concealed under a generic managed-network label.

For everyday assistance, Meraki network support offers a focused route. For a new estate or significant change, start with the decisions that need to be made before equipment is ordered.

Meraki networking questions

Is Meraki suitable for every Cisco requirement?

No single operating model is suitable for every need. We assess the functions, supported platforms and operational needs of the particular project. Where another Cisco approach or a retained system is more appropriate, that should be made clear.

Can you manage a dashboard we already own?

An arrangement can be assessed once authority, access and scope are established. Ownership should remain clear, and admin permissions should reflect the agreed work. Taking over management does not on its own require transferring ownership of your setup.

Does cloud management remove the need for local planning?

No. The site still needs suitable network access, equipment, cabling, power and recovery arrangements. Central administration can simplify some tasks. But it does not replace an understanding of the building, users and apps the network serves.

How do we discuss a UK deployment?

Use our enquiry page to outline your sites and aims. We serve the UK with particular focus on London, Kent, Sussex, Essex and Berkshire. Remote and on-site delivery are planned around the actual need and agreed availability.
