Average response is not a resolution time or a contractual guarantee. Support scope and response commitments are agreed for each engagement.
Meraki network support helps you investigate problems across your dashboard-managed environment without confusing what the dashboard shows with what users are experiencing. MCI supports agreed Meraki switching, wireless and security deployments, examining the relationship between configuration, connectivity and the business service affected. We establish the organisation, network and device context before deciding what needs attention.
A failed application, a disconnected device and an unexpected dashboard status are different starting points. They may be related, but that relationship needs evidence. Our approach keeps the investigation focused on the practical problem rather than assuming a cloud management issue explains every symptom.
A clear requirement
Turn the business need into a practical network scope with visible dependencies.
A controlled delivery
Plan implementation, testing and rollback before production changes begin.
A supportable result
Leave useful records, ownership and escalation routes behind.
Confirm the environment and access model
We begin with the relevant Meraki organisation and networks, the equipment involved and the people authorised to grant access. Administrative roles should match the work required, and any temporary access should have a clear owner and end point.
The management and configuration arrangements also need to be understood. Where an estate includes supported Catalyst platforms, we check the actual operating mode rather than assume all dashboard-visible switches are configured in the same way.
Licence information, configuration history and existing manufacturer support arrangements provide useful context. They are reviewed against the particular environment, not replaced with a generic assumption about how every Meraki deployment behaves.

Investigate the user journey
For a wireless incident, we may need to distinguish joining the network from authentication, addressing and access to the application. A client appearing connected does not by itself establish that the whole service is working.
For a branch connectivity problem, the investigation follows the relevant uplinks, routing, security controls and remote destination. The local internet connection, DNS service or another provider may form part of that path.
Dashboard observations are considered alongside device events, client evidence and the timing of changes. We aim to identify a test that separates competing explanations, rather than ask your users to repeat the same unsuccessful steps without learning anything new.
A useful starting point
Tell us what is happening.
A short description of the problem is enough for an initial discussion.
Keep configuration changes traceable
Cloud management can make it convenient to change settings across an estate. That convenience needs careful control when shared policies, templates or several sites are involved.
We establish which scope a change will affect, whether local exceptions exist and how to validate the result. A proposed adjustment for one branch should not inadvertently alter another location with different requirements.
Changes are documented with their purpose and approval. Where an incident needs a temporary exception, the review date and permanent follow-up should be recorded so the exception does not silently become the normal operating model.

A Meraki network can depend on identity services, internet providers, endpoint configuration and other network equipment. We help identify the handoff between those responsibilities and prepare useful evidence for the relevant team.
Where manufacturer assistance is appropriate, we clarify who owns the case and the support entitlement. Engineering coordination does not change the manufacturer’s obligations or guarantee that a replacement or software resolution will be immediate.
For mixed environments, multi-vendor integration can address the longer-term design boundaries. For problems that need detailed traffic evidence, packet analysis can be scoped as a focused investigation.
Make future incidents less disruptive
An ongoing support arrangement benefits from a maintained inventory, clear dashboard ownership and reliable records of site-specific settings. Those foundations reduce the time spent rediscovering the environment when something goes wrong.
We can also identify whether recurring incidents point towards a design, capacity or operational issue. A permanent improvement may belong in a planned project rather than be repeatedly treated as an isolated support ticket.
MCI provides Cisco and Meraki network services throughout the UK. Describe your platforms, locations and support needs through our enquiry page, and we will establish which assistance and delivery arrangements are appropriate.
Meraki network support questions
Do you need full administrator access?
Access depends on the agreed work. We identify the permissions needed and prefer an accountable access arrangement rather than shared credentials. Some tasks cannot be completed with read-only access, which should be explained before work starts.
Can you help with equipment in several organisations?
We can review the arrangement where access and authority are established. Ownership, delegated administration and licence context must be clear. Combining or transferring environments is a separate change decision, not an automatic part of troubleshooting.
Does dashboard visibility prove that a device is cloud configured?
No such assumption should be made. The platform and supported management mode need to be checked. The distinction matters when deciding where a setting is controlled and which change process should be followed.
Can you take over an existing support arrangement?
A transition can be planned after reviewing access, scope and existing responsibilities. We identify outstanding incidents and dependencies rather than promise a seamless takeover without discovery. Broader ongoing care is described under managed Meraki networks.
