Average
response time
Average response is not a resolution time or a contractual guarantee. Support scope and response commitments are agreed for each engagement.
Network support should help your business keep working, not leave your team passing an incident between suppliers. MCI provides specialist support for Cisco and Meraki environments, from a defined technical investigation to an agreed ongoing service. We establish which devices, sites and applications are affected, then work through the problem with the people responsible for each part of the connection.
You may need an experienced engineer alongside your own IT team, assistance after a failed change or a clearer support arrangement for an unfamiliar estate. The starting point is the same: understand the impact and agree what help is needed before promising an outcome.
A clear requirement
Turn the business need into a practical network scope with visible dependencies.
A controlled delivery
Plan implementation, testing and rollback before production changes begin.
A supportable result
Leave useful records, ownership and escalation routes behind.
Find the right level of help
For a known platform, Cisco network support and Meraki network support provide the natural starting points. Both can involve switching, wireless, security boundaries and connections to other networks, depending on the equipment and service agreed.
A difficult escalation may be better suited to third-line assistance. Where someone needs to inspect a rack, replace a connection or confirm a physical condition, on-site engineering can complement remote investigation.
Emergency and out-of-hours requirements need explicit arrangements. A website enquiry is not a guaranteed emergency response channel, and ordinary business-hours support should not be mistaken for a round-the-clock commitment.

Give the investigation a useful starting point
Tell us what users cannot do, when the behaviour started and which locations are affected. A recent change, an example timestamp and the difference between working and failing users are often more useful initially than a large collection of unlabelled logs.
We agree access with an authorised contact and establish the boundaries of the engagement. Network diagrams, configurations and captures can contain sensitive information. They should be shared through an approved route, not pasted into a public enquiry form.
The investigation then follows the affected service. We avoid assuming that a visible device alarm explains the whole incident or that an application problem must belong to the network simply because it crosses one.
A useful starting point
Tell us what is happening.
A short description of the problem is enough for an initial discussion.
Restore service without losing control of changes
Some incidents need a safe workaround before a complete explanation is available. We distinguish temporary recovery from a permanent correction and record what has changed, who approved it and what still needs investigation.
A proposed adjustment should have a clear purpose and a way to assess its effect. Making several unrelated changes together can obscure the cause and make recovery harder if behaviour deteriorates.
Where another provider controls the next step, we help assemble useful evidence and coordinate the technical discussion within the agreed scope. Circuit repair, application support and manufacturer replacement obligations remain with their respective providers unless the contract says otherwise.
Different environments. The same care.
Built around the work
your network supports.
Finance, banking and the wider private sector. We start with the systems and people that depend on your connections.
Finance & banking
Market-data paths, routing and provider coordination on clients’ behalf.
Financial-market services ↗Offices & multi-site teams
Reliable access between people, workplaces and business applications.
Office network design ↗Data centres & cloud
Network boundaries, workload connections and operational ownership.
Data centre networks ↗Make ongoing support easier to use
An ongoing arrangement should identify supported equipment, access requirements, service hours, escalation contacts and the division between incidents and planned changes. It should also explain whether monitoring, maintenance, documentation and supplier coordination are included.
Response targets and restoration commitments are different things. A meaningful agreement makes that distinction visible rather than using an attractive number without explaining what it measures.
For broader operational ownership, managed networks may be the better fit. For a specific recurring problem, a focused audit or root cause investigation can be more useful than adding an undefined support allowance.
Support across your UK sites
Our Cisco and Meraki network services cover the UK, with particular emphasis on London, Kent, Sussex, Essex and Berkshire. Most of our engineers are based in Kent. The location of your equipment helps determine how remote assistance and any on-site work should be organised.
Travel, access restrictions, maintenance windows and the need for local assistance are agreed for the actual engagement. We do not assume that every support incident requires a visit, or that every physical task can be completed remotely.
Share your sites, platforms and current support gap through our enquiry page. Keep the initial description practical and free of passwords, private keys or sensitive configuration files.
Questions about network support
Can you work alongside our existing IT team?
Yes. Responsibilities can be shared so your team retains its existing role while MCI handles a defined investigation or escalation. We agree who authorises changes and who communicates with users before starting.
Does support include new installations?
Not automatically. Incident assistance, minor operational changes and project delivery require different planning. The proposal should identify what is included and when a separate installation or migration scope is appropriate.
Can you support a network you did not install?
We can assess an existing environment, subject to access, platform suitability and available information. An initial discovery or configuration review may be needed before an ongoing support commitment can be defined responsibly.
Will a network change always fix an application problem?
No. The evidence may point towards a circuit, endpoint, application or third-party service. Our role is to investigate the network contribution clearly and help the right owner act, rather than change settings simply to demonstrate activity.
