MCI Network Services is the specialist networking brand run by Proxar Limited. We help with Cisco and Meraki networks across the UK. You can ask us to plan a new network, solve a fault or support the one you already have. The work can cover routing, switching, Wi-Fi and the day-to-day care of your network.
A networking specialist with a clear remit
Networks connect people to the applications, systems and external organisations they rely on. Problems rarely respect the boundaries between a switch, firewall, wireless controller and service provider. Our work considers those connections together, while keeping responsibility for each component explicit. A useful proposal explains what we will investigate or deliver, what another organisation owns and what evidence will demonstrate that the work is complete.
Cisco and Meraki are our principal technology focus. We also encounter other vendors in customer environments and can scope interoperability work where required. That does not mean claiming identical expertise in every product. The starting point is the equipment, software and operational problem in front of us, followed by a supported approach and a clear explanation of any specialist dependencies.
From a defined project to ongoing care
Some customers need help with one decision: a campus design, a wireless problem, a new provider connection or an inherited configuration. Others need implementation support for a larger change or an ongoing engineering arrangement. Our network services cover those different requirements without assuming that every enquiry should become a full outsourcing contract.
An engagement can complement an internal IT team. Your engineers may retain day-to-day administration while asking MCI to review a difficult routing change or support a migration. Alternatively, a managed service can establish broader monitoring, maintenance and incident responsibilities. In either case, access, approvals, service hours and escalation are agreed rather than implied by a generic description of support.
Experience where connectivity crosses organisational boundaries
Our engineers work with market-data providers, including CME and ICE, on clients’ behalf in their daily work. This involves the customer’s side of connectivity and the coordination needed to investigate or change services. Provider participation does not make CME or ICE our clients, endorsers or partners, and it does not transfer ownership of their infrastructure to us.
Financial-market networking illustrates why precise evidence matters. A route can be available while a receiver is missing multicast traffic; an application can report a sequence gap after the underlying loss occurred. The investigation needs to distinguish network delivery, provider responsibilities and application recovery. Our financial-market connectivity services address those boundaries without making blanket latency or availability promises.
UK-wide delivery, with a strong Kent engineering presence
We provide services throughout the UK, with particular emphasis on London, Kent, Sussex, Essex and Berkshire. Most of our engineers are based in Kent. That gives our regional work a practical foundation while allowing us to support customers with sites elsewhere in the country through an agreed combination of remote engineering and on-site delivery.
Coverage is not a promise that every location has the same engineer availability or travel time. A project plan identifies the sites, access arrangements, maintenance windows and attendance needed. Ongoing support agreements define their own response commitments. We do not imply an office in each county or a universal arrival time simply because we welcome enquiries from those areas.
Connect, secure, manage
Our tagline describes three connected responsibilities. Connecting a network involves understanding application paths and dependencies. Securing it means defining access boundaries and protecting administration, not merely installing a firewall. Managing it requires usable records, change control and a clear response when something fails. Each responsibility needs a scope suited to the customer’s environment.
The same principle applies to claims about assurance. A well-configured network can support a customer’s security programme, but no service-page description certifies the whole organisation. Details of current credentials and their legal scope belong on our accreditations page. Where an assessment needs a particular qualification or independent assurance role, that requirement should be established before the work is agreed.
A practical starting point
Tell us what is changing, what is not working or what decision you need to make. An initial discussion does not require passwords or unrestricted configuration files. A short description of the sites, platforms and business impact is usually enough to establish the next questions. Sensitive technical evidence can be requested later through an agreed transfer method.
MCI Network Services is a brand, not a separate incorporated company. The relevant proposal identifies the contracting business and service terms. You can read how we work or contact us to discuss a defined networking requirement, with the commercial and technical responsibilities made clear from the outset.
