Average response is not a resolution time or a contractual guarantee. Support scope and response commitments are agreed for each engagement.
Multi-vendor integration connects the network you need without assuming that every existing device must be replaced. MCI’s principal expertise is in Cisco and Meraki network services, but our clients also operate equipment from Juniper, Aruba, Palo Alto, Check Point, Fortinet and other suppliers. We help define and test the boundaries between those systems so a mixed environment remains understandable and supportable.
The reason for retaining a platform may be commercial, technical or simply practical. An acquisition, specialist security requirement or phased refresh can all create a mixed estate. The useful question is whether the systems can meet the agreed requirement together, not whether their logos match.
A clear requirement
Turn the business need into a practical network scope with visible dependencies.
A controlled delivery
Plan implementation, testing and rollback before production changes begin.
A supportable result
Leave useful records, ownership and escalation routes behind.
Start with the boundary, not a product comparison
We identify which systems need to exchange traffic, what each side controls and which functions depend on the connection. A routed handoff, a wireless access layer and a security gateway present different integration problems.
The existing design and operating responsibilities are reviewed before selecting an approach. Apparent feature similarity is not enough to establish equivalent behaviour across platforms or releases.
Where there is uncertainty, a proof of concept can test the important assumption. That is more useful than accepting a broad interoperability claim without checking the exact equipment and operating mode involved.

Make shared behaviour explicit
Addressing, route exchange, segmentation and management access need a common understanding. The design should identify which settings are agreed at the boundary and which remain an internal matter for each platform.
We pay particular attention to failure and recovery behaviour. A connection that passes ordinary traffic may still behave unexpectedly during a link loss, device restart or change of active path.
Monitoring also needs a coherent view. Each management system may show its own devices as healthy while the service between them is impaired. Useful operational checks follow the connection across that boundary rather than stop at a vendor dashboard.
A useful starting point
Not sure where to start?
Bring the requirement. We will help you define the engineering work.
Choose the right specialist integration
Juniper integration can support routed or switched boundaries with a Cisco-led estate. Aruba wireless integration focuses on the relationship between the retained wireless environment and the surrounding network.
For retained security platforms, Palo Alto, Check Point and Fortinet services consider traffic paths, policy ownership and operational handoffs. These are not promises that every proprietary feature can be reproduced across vendors.
Older equipment may need a narrower role. A controlled legacy boundary can be more sensible than extending an unsupported platform’s responsibilities simply because it can still forward traffic.
Different environments. The same care.
Built around the work
your network supports.
Finance, banking and the wider private sector. We start with the systems and people that depend on your connections.
Finance & banking
Market-data paths, routing and provider coordination on clients’ behalf.
Financial-market services ↗Offices & multi-site teams
Reliable access between people, workplaces and business applications.
Office network design ↗Data centres & cloud
Network boundaries, workload connections and operational ownership.
Data centre networks ↗Plan change and testing across both sides
Integration work needs coordinated access and change authority. A successful configuration on one system cannot compensate for a missing route, policy or approval on the other.
We define acceptance tests around permitted applications, expected restrictions and recovery behaviour. Testing should include what must not cross the boundary as well as what should work.
Where the integration is part of a migration, the temporary arrangement deserves the same attention as the final design. The period when old and new platforms coexist can introduce different risks from either completed environment.
Leave clear ownership behind
The handover should identify the connection, agreed settings, test evidence and support contacts. It should also explain where one team’s responsibility ends and another begins.
Vendor support and software lifecycle arrangements remain relevant. Our integration work does not create a manufacturer warranty, certify an unsupported combination or remove the need for the appropriate commercial entitlements.
Tell us which platforms you need to connect and why through our enquiry page. We will assess the boundary and any evidence gaps before proposing the work, rather than make replacement the automatic starting point.
Multi-vendor integration questions
Do you recommend keeping every existing device?
No. Retention should depend on suitability, supportability and the cost of managing the boundary. Some equipment is sensible to keep; other equipment creates disproportionate risk or complexity. The assessment should make that trade-off visible.
Does standards support guarantee interoperability?
It provides a useful starting point, not a complete test result. Platform implementation, software, settings and the particular feature combination still matter. We validate the agreed use case rather than turn a protocol name into a blanket compatibility promise.
Can you work with another specialist supplier?
Yes, where responsibilities and authority are clear. Joint work can be appropriate when another team owns a specialist platform. The project should identify who changes each side and how combined service behaviour will be accepted.
Will this distract from your Cisco and Meraki focus?
No. It allows our Cisco and Meraki expertise to be useful in the environment you actually own. The purpose is to integrate necessary boundaries responsibly, not present every vendor as an identical area of specialisation.
