Cisco Cloud Control firewall integration connects supported firewalls to the relevant Cisco cloud management service. We check the right management model, network paths and admin controls for the proposed setup. Tests cover policy changes and event handling. Clear ownership matters: registering a device in a portal alone does not prove that its security has improved.
Defined trust
Make access boundaries explicit rather than relying on an assumed internal network.
Controlled access
Connect identity, policy and network enforcement to the services people actually use.
Evidence for change
Test the intended security outcome and retain useful operational records.
Clarify which management function is required
A customer may want central visibility, a cloud-delivered management service or a migration away from a current manager. Those are different changes. We find the intended function, the devices involved and the current source of setup authority before choosing an integration path.
The approved page name and URL remain stable even where vendor branding evolves. In the technical design, however, we use the current product documentation and exact service component. That prevents a proposal from confusing a general cloud portal with the particular firewall-management capability and entitlement the customer actually needs.

Check platform support and migration boundaries
We review firewall models, software, licences and the management mode supported for each device. An estate may include platforms that cannot be brought into the same workflow without an upgrade or another transition. Those needs are recorded rather than discovered after a live device has been detached from its current manager.
Where setup ownership changes, the migration is treated as a controlled service change. We check which policies, objects, events and service records are retained or transferred through the supported process. Similar interface labels do not prove feature parity, and a successful device claim is not evidence that every current function is now managed correctly.
A useful starting point
Not sure where to start?
Bring the requirement. We will help you define the engineering work.
Protect administrative access
The cloud administration model is reviewed with the customer's identity and security owners. We agree administrator roles, authentication needs, recovery access and any integration permissions. A centrally managed estate can increase the consequence of an over-privileged account, so access should match real support duties.
We also establish who owns the tenant and how supplier access is granted and removed. MCI's engineering role should not make the customer dependent on an undocumented third-party account to administer its own firewalls. The handover includes ownership and access-recovery procedures without distributing secrets in ordinary project documents.
Different environments. The same care.
Built around the work
your network supports.
Finance, banking and the wider private sector. We start with the systems and people that depend on your connections.
Finance & banking
Market-data paths, routing and provider coordination on clients’ behalf.
Financial-market services ↗Offices & multi-site teams
Reliable access between people, workplaces and business applications.
Office network design ↗Data centres & cloud
Network boundaries, workload connections and operational ownership.
Data centre networks ↗Design the management communication path
Supported network access between the managed equipment and cloud service is documented and tested. We review name resolution, proxy or firewall needs and the chosen regional arrangement where relevant. The required access is allowed deliberately rather than through an unrestricted outbound rule introduced solely to make onboarding succeed.
The design explains what happens when that management path is unavailable. Forwarding, policy rollout and event visibility may have different dependencies. We check the supported behaviour and distinguish continued data-plane operation from the ability to make changes or investigate events. Cloud management should not be described as eliminating every local or external availability need.
Validate policy and event workflows
A representative device is used to test the supported setup process, review steps and rollout result. We compare the intended policy with the state applied on the firewall. The team needs to know when an edit is only prepared in the manager and when it has reached the enforcement device.
Event handling is tested separately. We find the logs required by the customer, their destination and the permissions needed to investigate them. Retention, storage location and any extra service entitlement are confirmed rather than assumed from the presence of a dashboard. Operational and privacy owners should understand which information leaves the local setup.
Plan transition and recovery
The rollout sequence preserves an appropriate recovery route and a record of the current state. We set out the conditions for pausing or reversing the change, including any limits imposed by the supported management migration. The customer should know whether recovery means reconnecting a manager, restoring setup or undertaking a more substantial rebuild.
We also consider ongoing maintenance. Firewall and management-service changes need compatibility checks and clear responsibility. A cloud-delivered component may change on a different schedule from customer-managed appliances. The operating process should identify how relevant release information and service notices are reviewed and how the customer checks important workflows afterwards.
Deliver an owned integration
MCI provides the management model, access roles, network access needs, test results and working procedures. This can complement Firewall Management Center deployment or form a separate migration engagement. Existing firewall policies and app boundaries remain subject to clear approval; moving their management into a cloud service is not treated as permission to broaden access or as a compliance certification.
