Cisco Secure Access Deployment
Implement Cisco Secure Access around users, locations and applications, with staged policy rollout and verified traffic-steering requirements.

response time
Average response is not a resolution time or a contractual guarantee. Support scope and response commitments are agreed for each engagement.
Cisco Secure Access deployment brings approved apps into a tested access service in stages. We prepare the tenant, identity links, user or branch traffic paths and private-resource connections. Each stage has checks before live users depend on it. The plan also includes a recovery route if a change does not work as intended.
Defined trust
Make access boundaries explicit rather than relying on an assumed internal network.
Controlled access
Connect identity, policy and network enforcement to the services people actually use.
Evidence for change
Test the intended security outcome and retain useful operational records.
Define the first deployment scope
We find the user groups, sites and apps included in the initial phase. A focused first rollout is easier to check than moving every access method and security control at once. The scope records which traffic remains on current services and which will move to the new path.
The customer supplies app owners, identity administrators and endpoint-management contacts. Their duties are included in the plan because network engineers cannot approve user membership or deploy client software to every device independently. We also confirm licences and the supported regional and platform options before the design relies on a particular capability.

Prepare the tenant and administrative model
We establish ownership of the service, admin roles and protected access. Supplier engineering access is limited to the agreed work, with a process for removal or transition into a support arrangement. The customer should retain a documented route to administer and recover its own setup.
Identity integration is configured with authorised administrators and appropriate permissions. We test group mapping, sign-in and recovery behaviour using designated accounts. The rollout does not assume that a successful administrator login proves the user-access policy is correct; those are separate workflows with different risks.
A useful starting point
Not sure where to start?
Bring the requirement. We will help you define the engineering work.
Build the traffic path deliberately
The rollout design identifies how users, branches and private resources connect through the supported service components. We configure required tunnels, connectors or endpoint profiles and check DNS, routing and firewall dependencies. The path is tested in both directions where stateful controls or private app access are involved.
We also identify traffic that should remain outside the service for an approved reason. Exceptions are clear and narrow, not a broad collection of bypasses added after apps complain. Where an app requires a special treatment, the customer approves the resulting boundary and the operating team receives a clear explanation.
Different environments. The same care.
Built around the work
your network supports.
Finance, banking and the wider private sector. We start with the systems and people that depend on your connections.
Finance & banking
Market-data paths, routing and provider coordination on clients’ behalf.
Financial-market services ↗Offices & multi-site teams
Reliable access between people, workplaces and business applications.
Office network design ↗Data centres & cloud
Network boundaries, workload connections and operational ownership.
Data centre networks ↗Configure policy before moving users
Access rules are built from the approved matrix of identities, apps and destinations. Default treatment is deliberate, including users without the expected group or devices that do not meet the chosen needs. We check rule ordering and the interaction between internet and private-access policies.
Inspection and logging settings follow the agreed scope. Certificate distribution and privacy considerations are addressed before enabling any supported decryption workflow. A rollout should not collect more information than the customer has approved or describe traffic as protected by a feature that has not actually been configured and tested.
Run a representative pilot
The pilot uses real device types and app workflows, including a user outside the permitted population and an unavailable or incorrectly configured dependency. We compare the expected policy decision with the actual connection and app result. That provides stronger evidence than a screenshot showing a healthy tunnel or enrolled client.
We test users moving between office, home and another external network. Split routing, trusted-network behaviour and client interaction with current security tools can change the path. The record names the combinations actually exercised and any limitation that needs resolution before the rollout expands.
Move production traffic in controlled stages
The cutover plan states which groups or sites move, who approves progression and how the previous path can be restored. Endpoint-profile changes and branch-routing changes are coordinated so that users are not left between incompatible settings. Support staff receive a short fault-isolation guide before the first production wave.
The observation period includes busy-hour activity and scheduled processes that may not run during a maintenance window. Any temporary workaround is recorded with a review point. The project does not count a user population as complete simply because no incident was reported during a quiet test period.
Validate resilience and handover
We exercise agreed failure scenarios for the relevant tunnels, connectors or identity path where safe. The customer receives the expected behaviour for established sessions and new connections, including any manual recovery step. A cloud service's availability does not remove local network or endpoint dependencies.
MCI hands over the final access matrix, component inventory, setup duties and test evidence. Ongoing administration and incident response can be defined through Cisco Secure Access services. The rollout scope remains clear about customer prerequisites, vendor support entitlement and what has actually been checked, rather than presenting installation as a guarantee that every future app will work unchanged.
