Nexus Dashboard Deployment
Deploy Cisco Nexus Dashboard in a supported form factor, with sizing, connectivity, administrative access and fabric onboarding requirements defined.

response time
Average response is not a resolution time or a contractual guarantee. Support scope and response commitments are agreed for each engagement.
Nexus Dashboard deployment sets up a management platform your team can use safely. We check sizing, fabric support, network links and admin access before bringing devices under its control. We then test the agreed workflows. Installation and acceptance are separate steps, with ownership of live changes made clear throughout.
Workload-led design
Start with application, compute and storage dependencies rather than the switch model.
Clear failure domains
Understand which links, devices and sites can fail together.
Operational clarity
Make fabrics, external routing and management responsibilities supportable.
Confirm the intended functions and supported estate
We find the fabrics, devices and operational capabilities included in the rollout. Hardware, software and entitlement needs are checked against the chosen release and functions. A platform that can discover a device does not necessarily support every setup or assurance task for that device. The scope records those distinctions before infrastructure is allocated.
The project also identifies current management systems and integrations. We agree what will remain in place, what will be migrated and which tool will be authoritative for setup. This avoids conflicting changes from several systems after onboarding. Any unresolved capability or compatibility question becomes a prerequisite, not an assumption hidden inside the installation schedule.

Prepare the hosting and network foundation
The chosen form factor and sizing follow the supported needs for the intended scale. We review compute, memory, storage and physical or virtual placement, including failure domains. Resource availability is checked in the actual hosting setup rather than inferred from a nominal allocation on a planning document. Growth expectations and capacity-review triggers are included.
Connectivity planning covers management access, fabric communication, name resolution, time services and any necessary external endpoints. Firewall rules and routing are agreed with their owners. We check the required paths without granting broad access merely to simplify installation. Certificate and addressing decisions are recorded early because changing them later may affect integrations and admin workflows.
A useful starting point
Not sure where to start?
Bring the requirement. We will help you define the engineering work.
Establish protected administration
Initial access is brought into the customer’s approved identity and role model. We review privileges for platform administration, fabric operations and read-only use, as supported by the chosen release. Service accounts and recovery arrangements are documented, with secrets held in authorised storage rather than included in installation reports or email attachments.
Logging and audit visibility are established before the platform manages production changes. The team needs to know who performed an action and how to investigate an unexpected result. We also identify duties for certificate renewal, account changes and access removal. These tasks are part of a maintainable rollout, not optional administration to be considered after the project closes.
Different environments. The same care.
Built around the work
your network supports.
Finance, banking and the wider private sector. We start with the systems and people that depend on your connections.
Finance & banking
Market-data paths, routing and provider coordination on clients’ behalf.
Financial-market services ↗Offices & multi-site teams
Reliable access between people, workplaces and business applications.
Office network design ↗Data centres & cloud
Network boundaries, workload connections and operational ownership.
Data centre networks ↗Onboard a controlled initial scope
We start with an agreed fabric or limited set of devices where practical. Discovery and integration are checked against the expected topology and permissions. Differences are investigated before wider rollout. The customer should not assume that every discovered setup is correct simply because the new platform can display it.
Configuration ownership is enforced through the agreed workflow. Where the platform is authorised to make changes, we review the proposed difference and its effect on the live network. Observation-only onboarding is kept separate from active management. This staged approach allows the team to understand the platform’s behaviour and correct prerequisites without exposing the whole estate to an untested process.
Test useful workflows and recovery access
Acceptance includes the functions the customer actually intends to use, such as retrieving fabric state, investigating a representative event or executing an approved setup task. We check the resulting network behaviour and service records, not just the platform’s success message. Integration with monitoring or ticketing is tested where it forms part of the scope.
We also review backup and recovery procedures supported by the platform and rollout model. The team needs a way to retain control and evidence when the management service is unavailable. Recovery tests or documented validation are agreed according to risk and available setup. A backup file current on disk is not presented as proof that the platform can be restored successfully.
Complete the handover with explicit ownership
The delivery record identifies the installed release, hosting details, connected fabrics, access roles and acceptance results. It includes known limitations, maintenance duties and the procedures needed for routine administration. Open issues remain visible with owners and next actions. The customer receives an operational platform, not simply a set of credentials to an unfamiliar interface.
MCI can deploy Nexus Dashboard as a standalone project or as part of a wider Cisco data centre programme. Related work includes Nexus Dashboard migration where a current management estate must be transferred. Provide the fabric inventory, required functions and hosting constraints to begin. The proposal will separate platform rollout, network changes and the prerequisites owned by other infrastructure teams.
