A multi-site network rollout needs a repeatable delivery method without losing sight of the differences between locations. MCI plans Cisco and Meraki deployments across branches, offices and other business sites, coordinating preparation, installation, testing and handover as one programme. The objective is consistent delivery with enough control to prevent a local exception becoming a repeated fault.
The work may introduce a common platform, replace existing equipment or bring newly acquired locations into an established design. A successful first site is useful evidence, but it does not prove that every remaining site has the same circuits, cabling, access arrangements or application dependencies.
A clear requirement
Turn the business need into a practical network scope with visible dependencies.
A controlled delivery
Plan implementation, testing and rollback before production changes begin.
A supportable result
Leave useful records, ownership and escalation routes behind.
Establish the site patterns and the exceptions
We group locations by relevant requirements rather than by address alone. A small branch, a larger office and a specialist site may need different network patterns, even when they share a management platform.
For each pattern, the design identifies the standard configuration, physical prerequisites and acceptance tests. Site-specific values such as addressing, uplinks and local services are recorded separately. This makes the common build reusable without hiding important differences.
Unknowns are addressed before the rollout schedule becomes a sequence of assumed completion dates. A site survey, circuit confirmation or local application review may be needed to establish readiness at particular locations.

Use a pilot to test the delivery method
A pilot site can validate more than the technology. It tests the preparation process, instructions, access arrangements, remote coordination and handover information that the wider programme will rely on.
The pilot should be representative of a meaningful site pattern. Choosing only the simplest location may produce a reassuring result without testing the dependencies that will make the rest of the rollout difficult.
Lessons are incorporated into the standard before subsequent sites proceed. Where a material change is made to the design, the relevant tests are repeated rather than assuming that the first pilot result still applies to a different build.
A useful starting point
Not sure where to start?
Bring the requirement. We will help you define the engineering work.
Prepare equipment and site information together
Staging and preconfiguration can reduce the work required during each site window. Devices, configuration versions and labels are linked to the intended location so that similar equipment does not become interchangeable in an unsafe way.
Readiness checks cover the local conditions: power, cabinets, cabling, circuit availability, authorised access and the people needed for validation. A site that is not ready should be identified before engineers and equipment are committed to a window that cannot succeed.
For Meraki estates, dashboard placement and template behaviour are checked for their effect on other locations. For Cisco deployments, reusable configuration standards remain tied to the appropriate hardware and software rather than applied indiscriminately across the estate.
Different environments. The same care.

Data centre networks ↗Control the change at each location
Every site needs a clear start condition, execution plan and acceptance decision. The programme can use common procedures, but the local rollback and application checks must still reflect the services being changed.
Communication is part of delivery. Local staff need to know the expected interruption and how to report problems. Central teams need a reliable view of which sites are ready, in progress, accepted or awaiting corrective work.
We also consider how much simultaneous change the organisation can support. Increasing the number of sites in a wave may shorten the calendar programme while stretching engineering, application testing and service-desk capacity. The rollout pace should reflect those constraints.
Measure completion by service acceptance
A device being installed does not mean a site is finished. Acceptance testing confirms the agreed network and application outcomes, and outstanding exceptions are recorded with their significance and owner.
The handover updates the estate records and support arrangements. Operational teams need to know which sites have moved to the new platform, which remain on the old design and where temporary integration is still in place.
After the programme, the organisation should have a consistent view of the delivered estate rather than a collection of unrelated site completion emails. That record supports future changes, troubleshooting and ongoing network operations.
Multi-site rollout questions
Can you cover locations throughout the UK?
Yes. We plan the mix of remote engineering and site attendance around the estate. London, Kent, Sussex, Essex and Berkshire are particular areas of focus, but the service is not limited to those locations. Availability and access requirements are agreed for each programme.
Does every site need an engineer on site?
Not necessarily. Some work can use prepared equipment and authorised local assistance, while other sites need experienced on-site engineering. The delivery model follows the physical tasks, risk and testing required rather than a blanket remote-only assumption.
Can the rollout be paused between waves?
Yes, and the design should account for mixed operation during the transition. Clear wave boundaries and an understood interim state make it easier to pause safely, address findings and resume without losing control of the estate.
What should we bring to the planning discussion?
A site list, broad network requirements, critical dates and known local constraints are useful. Plan a multi-site network rollout so readiness, standardisation and acceptance are considered before deployment dates are promised.
