response time
Average response is not a resolution time or a contractual guarantee. Support scope and response commitments are agreed for each engagement.
Network security sets who and what can connect, and which services they can reach. We design and support Cisco and Meraki access controls, network boundaries, firewalls and remote links. The rules follow agreed business needs. The work also covers who approves changes and how the controls will be checked over time.
Our work focuses on the network’s contribution. It does not replace every part of your organisation’s security programme, and no single setup should be presented as proof of regulatory compliance or complete protection.
Defined trust
Make access boundaries explicit rather than relying on an assumed internal network.
Controlled access
Connect identity, policy and network enforcement to the services people actually use.
Evidence for change
Test the intended security outcome and retain useful operational records.
Make identity part of the access decision
Cisco ISE and Cisco Access Manager provide distinct routes for assessing identity-based network access. The appropriate design depends on your devices, integrations, operating model and supported platform combinations.
Access Manager is delivered within the Meraki setup, while the wider access-control need still needs careful definition. We check current device and integration support rather than assume that every current authentication design can move unchanged.
User access, specialist devices and guest connections can require different treatment. The project should explain how each group is identified and what happens when the information needed for the decision is unavailable.

Separate systems for a reason
Network segmentation should reflect the connections a service genuinely needs. Creating more network boundaries is not automatically useful unless their purpose and support duties are clear.
We work from app and device needs to define permitted communication. The design then identifies where those decisions are enforced and how exceptions are approved.
Changes must preserve essential services and restrict unnecessary access. A segmentation project needs representative app tests and a safe rollout sequence, not only a diagram showing more isolated boxes.
A useful starting point
Not sure where to start?
Bring the requirement. We will help you define the engineering work.
Place firewalls within the actual traffic path
Cisco Secure Firewall services consider the gateway’s role alongside routing, app needs and the surrounding network. Management, upgrades and policy duties should be defined before the platform becomes a critical dependency.
Where another security platform is retained, a controlled integration may be more appropriate than replacement. The purpose is to preserve the intended boundary and make the combined service supportable.
A permitted rule is not the same as an end-to-end working app. We coordinate routing, addressing and relevant controls so that acceptance tests cover both authorised access and the restrictions that must remain effective.
Different environments. The same care.
Built around the work
your network supports.
Finance, banking and the wider private sector. We start with the systems and people that depend on your connections.
Finance & banking
Market-data paths, routing and provider coordination on clients’ behalf.
Financial-market services ↗Offices & multi-site teams
Reliable access between people, workplaces and business applications.
Office network design ↗Data centres & cloud
Network boundaries, workload connections and operational ownership.
Data centre networks ↗Design remote and cloud-delivered access deliberately
Secure remote access starts with the users, devices and apps involved. It should explain the authentication, access permissions and support duties rather than simply provide a way into the network.
Cisco Secure Access can be assessed where its supported capabilities fit the need. Existing identity, app and traffic-routing dependencies must be considered as part of that decision.
The transition matters as much as the target design. During a migration, old and new access paths can coexist, and the project needs to identify how temporary permissions will be controlled and eventually removed.
Check the controls and the evidence
Network security assessments provide a focused way to review setup, segmentation and relevant operational practices. The scope should identify what is being assessed and what lies outside the engagement.
A useful report prioritises findings and explains their significance. It distinguishes setup observations from tested behaviour and avoids turning a general checklist into an unsupported assurance statement.
MCI’s Cisco and Meraki network services can help implement agreed improvements. Testing, approval and evidence handling remain important, particularly where changes affect production access or the records contain sensitive information.
Before requesting rollout costs, identify which findings you want addressed and who can approve the resulting access changes. This makes it easier to separate essential remediation from optional improvements and to recognise any licences or specialist input needed outside the engineering scope.
Network security questions
Does this make us ISO 27001 or PCI DSS compliant?
No such conclusion follows from a networking engagement alone. Technical work can support your wider control programme and provide relevant evidence, but certification, assessment scope and other obligations require separate review by the appropriate people.
Can you work with our security team or external provider?
Yes. We can take responsibility for a defined network workstream while your team retains policy or programme ownership. The engagement should identify who approves changes, who owns risk decisions and how shared acceptance tests will be performed.
Will you recommend Cisco and Meraki for every control?
They are our principal networking focus, but recommendations should fit the actual need. Existing specialist platforms can be retained where appropriate. The design should explain the choice and its boundaries rather than imply that one vendor automatically solves every problem.
How do we begin without sharing sensitive details publicly?
Use our enquiry page for a high-level description of the need. Do not include credentials, detailed settings or confidential incident evidence. We can establish authority and an approved information-sharing route before a more detailed technical review.
