Meraki Organisation Consolidation
Assess and plan Meraki organisation consolidation, checking device movement, licensing and settings that cannot simply be transferred between organisations.

Average response is not a resolution time or a contractual guarantee. Support scope and response commitments are agreed for each engagement.
Meraki organisation consolidation brings separate setups into a planned ownership structure. We assess whether a merge is useful, design the destination and plan the move. Access, licences, settings and support all need clear owners. The result should simplify day-to-day work while preserving any business boundaries that still need to stay separate.
Dashboard clarity
Structure organisations, networks and permissions around real operational ownership.
Consistent sites
Use repeatable standards without ignoring the differences between locations.
Practical operations
Keep cloud management connected to physical links, users and business services.
Establish why the organisations are separate
Some boundaries exist for good reasons. Different legal entities, administrators, contractual arrangements or regional needs may justify keeping organisations distinct. Others reflect historical supplier choices that no longer fit the business. We record the reason for each boundary before recommending that it be removed. A simpler dashboard can still be the wrong outcome if it gives people access to assets they should not control.
The review includes the customer’s intended future structure. An acquired business may be fully integrated, operated separately or prepared for a later sale. We consider how each option affects admin ownership and the ability to separate networks again. Consolidation should not create an expensive reversal problem merely to make today’s reporting look tidier.

Build a reliable estate and dependency register
We find the networks and devices in each organisation, their operational owners and any relevant licence arrangements. Network names alone are insufficient: two sites can share a label while serving different business units. The register connects serial numbers, physical locations, support contracts and app dependencies so the migration scope is unambiguous.
Organisation-level dependencies deserve particular attention. Administrator roles, identity integrations, policy objects, monitoring connections and automation may have been created independently. We establish which destination settings should replace them and which must remain separate. A network that forwards traffic normally after a move can still be poorly supported if its alerting or admin access has not been transferred correctly.
A useful starting point
Not sure where to start?
Bring the requirement. We will help you define the engineering work.
Design the destination before moving equipment
The proposed organisation design specifies how sites are grouped, named and administered. We set out the minimum access needed by internal staff, local teams and service providers. Where common setup is useful, we consider standards and templates without assuming that every office has identical routing, wireless or security needs.
Licensing is reviewed as part of this design, with the relevant commercial owner or supplier. We do not treat a technical device move as automatic authority to transfer an entitlement or change a contract. The customer receives a record of dependencies and required approvals before the first production site is scheduled, avoiding a cutover that stops on an unresolved account issue.
Different environments. The same care.

Finance, banking and the wider private sector. We start with the systems and people that depend on your connections.

Financial-market services ↗Offices & multi-site teams
Reliable access between people, workplaces and business applications.
Office network design ↗Data centres & cloud
Network boundaries, workload connections and operational ownership.
Data centre networks ↗Choose a supported transition for each network
Eligible networks may be candidates for Cisco’s network-move workflow, while other cases need a staged rebuild or another supported process. We assess current restrictions rather than applying an old blanket statement that networks can never move, or a new assumption that every network can. Features and organisation relationships must be checked against the specific method chosen.
A comparison document records what should remain, what must be recreated and what information should be retained outside dashboard. This is especially useful where operational history matters for incident review. The technical procedure is accompanied by an access and communications plan so both the outgoing and receiving teams understand their duties throughout the transition.
Validate the operating model on a pilot
A pilot should show more than device visibility in the destination. We test whether authorised administrators can perform their work and whether restricted users remain restricted. We also check that the network follows its intended policies, reaches the required services and generates alerts to the correct recipients. These tests make the new organisational model tangible.
Application and support checks are recorded alongside the move itself. A branch with voice, VPN and guest wireless provides a different test from a simple access-point network. We use the pilot to refine the rollout sequence, identify site-specific exceptions and establish how much local assistance is needed. The resulting rollout plan reflects evidence rather than a guessed average per site.
Retire the old arrangements deliberately
After each wave, we reconcile the device register and admin records. Old accounts, API access, monitoring links and contractual duties are not assumed to disappear because a device is no longer listed in its original network. We check what can be removed and what must remain temporarily for evidence, commercial closure or the next migration stage.
MCI’s Meraki platform migration service can combine this planning with rollout and provider coordination. We can also deliver an assessment for your own engineers to execute. In either case, the handover explains the final ownership boundaries, outstanding exceptions and future change process, so consolidation produces a manageable estate rather than a single large organisation with undocumented access and policy differences.
